Brittany is ASWWC secretary at Walla Walla and has met a whole new group of friends. She hosted a progressive party and Easter brunch. She said the college kids were running around like a bunch of 5 year olds looking for Easter eggs. I miss being part of those things but I live vicariously through her. She is packing her freshman year with activities and memories. I know she will look back on this as a great time in her life. She decided not to return to Big Lake this summer but hasn't finalized her plans. There are so many options.
We decided that when Jordan turned 17 it was high time we moved him out of his little white twin bed to something more appropriate for a young man. We started out planning to paint his room and clean his carpet while he was gone to Walla Walla visiting Brandon for Spring Break. In a stroke of inspiration, we decided to replace the carpet and we gutted everything in his room. The ceiling fan came down and the track lighting is going up. We got a black platform bed and he has light brown walls. His duvet cover is a brown suede like fabric. When his extreme makeover is done, it should look more like a recording studio with a bed. Jordan is really into music and spends alot of time at PAA in the recording studio with his friends. After Spring Break, he decided he wanted to start getting up early to read the Bible and lift weights. He's growing in lots of different ways.
Greg has more work coming up which always takes a little pressure off me and is much appreciated. I've been at Standard Insurance as a nurse case manager for six years now. I'm looking forward to longer days and more time to walk and play in my yard.
Our family is planning a trip to Washington DC in conjunction with a conference I'm attending the first week in May. At the end of the month, we'll be going to Boise to celebrate Grandmother Struthers' 90th birthday party. Other than that, we stick pretty close to home.
